Irina Shlyaga, Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Gomel Medical University, has devoted more than 30 years to the study of diseases of the ENT organs, in particular, to the development of methods for the early diagnosis of laryngeal cancer. The experience gained at the Gomel Regional Clinical Hospital has become the material for future scientific work. Doctoral and PhD theses are completely new algorithms for early diagnosis of the disease, which are already saving lives today. The discoveries did not go unnoticed. The scientist's developments are integrated into the healthcare system, namely into state programs on cancer safety.
