Frosts up to -30°C: orange danger level announced in Belarus on 2 February

The night of 2 February turned out to be one of the coldest this winter. The lowest mark was recorded at the weather station in the Ostrovets district — 30.7°C frost. According to forecasts, the extreme cold will last for several more days. Due to severe frosts, forecasters declared an orange danger level in Belarus on 2 February. In the morning, temperatures in most parts of the country will drop to -25 -30°C, in some places to -31 -33°C. Partly cloudy weather is expected. Mostly without precipitation, only in the afternoon there will be some light snow in the north. There is ice in some areas and ice on the roads. The wind is north-westerly. In the daytime — from 13 to 19 frost.
