Festive illumination will be turned on in Minsk today

The lighting ceremony of the main Christmas tree of Belarus will take place in Minsk at 17:00 on 15 December on Oktyabrskaya Square. The event will be the starting point for the inclusion of festive lighting throughout the capital. Minsk was decorated with 335 km of garlands and 629 three-dimensional light figures for Christmas and New Year. The solemn ceremony of lighting the main Christmas tree of the country is timed to coincide with the start of the annual charity event "Our Children".
