Deputies are making an inventory of current measures to encourage people to move to rural areas
18.02.2026
Participants in a visiting meeting of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government discussed measures to encourage relocation to rural areas and retain specialists in Belarusian villages. The President's goal for the next five years on rural revitalization is to develop a new national approach that would motivate people, especially young people, to relocate to Belarusian villages. Local authorities and relevant ministries must now take stock of existing measures and formulate additional ones. The document must be submitted to the President by 31 March.
