Belarusian People's Congress in its second day

The 7th Belarusian People's Congress continues its work. The most important issues are on the agenda today. The delegates will have to approve the National Security Concept and the Military Doctrine. The session of the Belarusian People's Congress as a constitutional body was held for the first time on April 24. The day before, President Aleksandr Lukashenko was elected chairman of the 7th Belarusian People's Assembly. Aleksandr Kosinets was elected deputy chairman. The delegates also elected members of the Presidium and made decisions on a number of other organizational issues.
