Arctic frosts hit Belarus
15.01.2026
Last night was the coldest this winter season. In the east of the country, the thermometer dropped to -30°C. Such frosts are observed in Belarus no more than once every 10-15 years. For comparison, the absolute minimum for January was recorded in 1940 in Tolochin, when it was -42.2°C. Due to severe frosts, an orange danger level has been declared in the country.
