01.12.2025
In the lead-up to International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Belarus is hosting medical consultations, exhibitions, and discussion forums. Quality of life and equal opportunities for every citizen, especially those who require additional support, are among the country's social policy priorities. More than 550.000 people with disabilities live in Belarus, of whom approximately 70.000 are employed. A support system has been established for families raising children with disabilities, ranging from financial benefits and employment guarantees to free rehabilitation and inclusive education. From 3 to 7 December, Belarus will host the "Accessible Culture Week" campaign. People with disabilities will be able to visit museums and libraries free of charge.
