A Belarusian spends 6 years of their life watching television and 11 years at work
13.11.2025
The average Belarusian spends 28 years of their life sleeping and 11 years at work. Belstat summarized the results of a large-scale survey on the population's daily time use. 11.500 people completed two diaries over the course of a year. They recorded in detail everything they did on weekdays and weekends: how much they exercised, read, or walked the dog. An interesting fact: a Belarusian has almost 13.5 years of free time in their lifetime, just over 6 of which are spent watching television. We spend about 4 years eating, and 2.5 years preparing food.
