This strategic document laid the foundation for the integration of both countries. Over the years of the Union State's existence, dozens of programs have been implemented and continue to be implemented. These are primarily related to the social sphere and science. Close coordination in security and defense has been established within the framework of the CSTO and the Union State. Citizens of the Union State enjoy preferential treatment, including the right to work, medical care, and education. Trade turnover for the first ten months of 2025 was $44 billion. 115 integration events with Russia from the 2024-2026 plan have been completed. Almost all transactions are conducted in Russian and Belarusian rubles. Mandatory roaming between the two countries was abolished on 1 March. Russia plans to lift restrictions on SIM cards from Belarusian operators by the end of this year.
