224 foreigners have received Belarusian citizenship
Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a decree granting Belarusian citizenship to 224 people, including 16 minors. People from 17 countries have become new citizens of Belarus. Among them are Armenia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. Most of them came from Ukraine. Persons who have obtained Belarusian citizenship are employed in various sectors of the economy. Among them are employees in the fields of education, services, workers in the agro–industrial complex, and the construction industry. In addition, among the new citizens of Belarus are doctors and candidates of sciences who teach at one of the leading domestic universities. At the same time, it was decided to reject applications for citizenship of a number of persons who violated the laws of Belarus.
