The third power unit of the Ostrovets NPP will be built in Belarus

Following a meeting with the President on energy development, a decision was made to implement the second stage of the Ostrovets Nuclear Power Plant and the construction of the third power unit. However, this does not mean that the idea of building another separate nuclear power plant in Belarus has been abandoned in principle. In parallel with the construction of the third power unit at the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, work will be organized to explore sites in the Mogilev Oblast, where in the future, in the context of rising electricity consumption, a decision may be made to create additional nuclear facilities.
