The President's Personnel Tuesday
Personnel day at the Independence Palace. Aleksandr Lukashenko has made a number of important decisions. They affected local authorities and the real sector of the economy. Thus, Ruslan Parkhamovich, Aide to the President and Inspector for Gomel Oblast, was appointed mayor of the country's second largest city, Gomel. The new head of the City Executive Committee is familiar with the region — he has been working closely in the south of Belarus for the past two years. Another appointment in Gomel Oblast is a new head in the Mozyr District — Aleksandr Veremeyev, the former chairman of the Petrikov District Executive Committee. Aleksandr Sakovich is now the new head of the Belarusian Steel Works JSC. He comes to the company from the Office of the Council of Ministers.
