The President reviewed personnel issues
New Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy, Head of the Belarusian Railway, and the renewed composition of the local vertical and diplomatic corps. The President of Belarus made a number of important appointments. Viktor Karankevich became Deputy Prime Minister. Aleksei Kushnarenko became Minister of Energy, while Valery Verenich will head the Belarusian Railway. Brest region has a new governor – Piotr Parkhomchik. A number of personnel decisions affected the local vertical. Thus, the appointment of chairmen of Volkovysk, Luban, Bykhov and Osipovichi district executive committees was agreed upon. The new first deputy chairman of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the head of Leninski district administration of Mogilev. It is necessary to restore order in the regions. The head of state reminded that during his recent working trips he had already spoken about strengthening the powers of heads of the local vertical. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised once again that heads of districts should be presidents of the territories entrusted to them.
