The President received a report from the Chairman of the State Customs Committee V. Orlovsky
The Chairman of the State Customs Committee reported to the President of Belarus on the situation at the border. The situation is difficult, all delays in transport and people are organized by our neighbors, not fulfilling common agreements. In the western direction with Belarus, three checkpoints are currently operating: "Kamenny Log" and "Benyakoni" for entry into Lithuania and "Grigorovshchina" in the Latvian direction. Poland closed the border unilaterally, which has an extremely negative impact on their own commerce and tourism. A similar situation is with other European countries. The President heard a detailed report, which also included security figures. In July, a large channel for importing psychotropic drugs from Latvia was stopped, 637 kg of dangerous substances were seized. And through the checkpoint "Brest" from Poland in a minibus they tried to bring in a new type of explosives weighing more than 580 kg. In this regard, Belarus has strengthened control measures at the border.
