The President received a report from the Chairman of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences. Vladimir Karanik presented the Head of State with revised proposals for improving the Academy of Sciences' activities. The report also discussed strengthening the responsibility of research commissioners. The Head of State strictly requires that all developments be practice-oriented and in demand by the real sector.
