The President presented the general's epaulettes to the high-ranking officers
Life without war is the result of daily work, which is not always visible. But this work requires colossal efforts, and sometimes risk to life. This was stated by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko at the ceremony of presenting epaulettes to high-ranking officers. The event is traditionally held on the eve of Independence Day, but today it was held in a different format. Among the guests were heads of military and law enforcement agencies, special forces, as well as media representatives, political scientists, and journalists. Alexander Lukashenko noted that the highest responsibility for the fate of the country, for peace in the native land, and the security of our citizens is attached to the general's shoulder straps. The threat of a new global conflict has never been as close as it is today. The President spoke about the events in Russia and told how Belarus reacted to them. These are some of the most pressing matters of today, he said.
