The President of Belarus met with the Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Area
Belarus has a strong interest in cooperation with Chukotka. Aleksandr Lukashenko stated this at the meeting with the Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Area. This is the first visit of V. Kuznetsov to Belarus as a governor, but he has visited the region including Minsk many times as a tourist. The two sides have much to offer each other. The Head of State also emphasized the importance of the region. A key objective is to increase trade turnover. Minsk and Anadyr have long-standing and strong economic relations. Belarus exports electrical insulators and timber to the Chukotka Autonomous Area. Medicines, vaccines, and serums are also supplied to our country. The potential for growth is enormous. Chukotka is known for its mineral wealth — 10% of Russia's gold production comes from this region.
