The President of Belarus met with Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan
Belarus is ready to increase trade with Kazakhstan and establish joint ventures. This was stated by Aleksandr Lukashenko during a meeting with Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. A delegation led by Yerlan Koshanov arrived in Minsk on 4 February. The guests have already visited BELAZ and Khatyn. Parliamentary diplomacy is always aimed at advancing common interests and promoting cooperation. In addition to contacts within integration structures, Minsk and Astana have been building close bilateral cooperation for a long period of time. It is based on industrial cooperation, mechanical engineering, the agro-industrial complex and IT. Kazakhstan is Belarus's second-largest trading partner in the CIS. The countries have an ambitious plan to significantly increase their combined trade to the current $1 bln. This should also be facilitated by intensifying interregional ties.
