Aleksandr Lukashenko held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Russia Jesus Rafael Salazar Velazquez. The President of Belarus stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries and expressed a desire to intensify and deepen bilateral relations, noting that there are many topics for discussion. The President asked the ambassador to extend an invitation to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to visit Belarus. At the same time, Aleksandr Lukashenko also expressed his willingness to visit Venezuela, believing that the President of the Bolivarian Republic may have similar intentions.
