The President intends to make a decision on Lithuanian trucks remaining in Belarus in the coming days
20.03.2026
The Belarusian leader recalled that representatives of Lithuanian and Polish trucking companies had previously written to him. Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed the government leadership to hold a meeting with them. The Head of State drew attention to the fact that some vehicles with Lithuanian registration belong to Polish carriers. The thing is that after Warsaw's decision to close the border with Belarus, trucking companies from Poland began operating through Lithuania. As previously reported, due to politically motivated decisions, about 1.000 trucks were blocked and deprived of the opportunity to fully operate in their usual directions. Over the past four months, Belarus has repeatedly tried to solve the problem by political and diplomatic means, but Vilnius has not engaged in dialogue.
