The President inspected the progress of the sowing campaign in Vitebsk and Mogilev regions
The sowing campaign continues in Belarus. Agricultural work is carried out in all regions of the country. Alexander Lukashenko also worked in the fields the day before. Presidential inspection – without ties and reports. The head of state visited his homeland. In the same place, at the junction of two regions – Vitebsk and Mogilev, he examined the crops of oats, peas, and found out how things were going on the presidential experimental field. Last year, barley was sown here, and this year new crops were planted – lupins and peas. The result is not bad, but Alexander Lukashenko was not satisfied with everything he saw, there is still a lot of work ahead. It was the order of the President to change the structure of crops with an emphasis on winter barley. Despite the fact that Belarus is largely located in the zone of risky farming, the result turned out to be worthy – the yield of winter barley is not less than 50 c/ha. Also, during his visit to the Shklov district in June 2022, Alexander Lukashenko set an important task: to achieve a gross harvest of cereals in the short term of 9-10 million tons. The head of state always pays great attention to the development of agriculture. At the same time, he personally conducts experiments to keep abreast of the latest trends, try out technologies and new types of crops. The best and most successful of the developments are being implemented.
