The President held a meeting with judges of the Constitutional Court
All principles and norms laid down in the Constitution must work in practice. This was stated by the President at a meeting with judges of the Constitutional Court. Alexander Lukashenko noted that a detailed conversation is overdue. More than 6 years have passed since the last meeting in this format. At that time, the innovations that would be introduced into the Basic Law of the country were discussed. Extensive work has been done and powers have been redistributed. The time has come to implement them in full. The President also noted that today there are 175 thousand legal acts in force. Some of them are difficult to read and difficult to understand. There also needs to be an audit. Another remark of the President is that formal consideration of constitutional complaints of citizens is unacceptable – it is also important to work on this.
