The President heard the Belarus’ Prosecutor General's report
On 4 February, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Belarus’ Prosecutor General Andrei Shved to receive his report. The head of state was first of all interested in the crime situation in the country. Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed to prepare a meeting with the security bloc together with the State Secretary of the Security Council to analyze the results of the work and coordinate further actions. Aleksandr Lukashenko was also interested in the progress of the election campaign. According to the Prosecutor General, public security was ensured during the election campaign. According to the Prosecutor General, Belarus has the lowest crime rate in the entire period of sovereignty. Thus, the number of crimes has decreased by 14% last year. Positive dynamics is recorded in all regions of the country. The number of especially serious crimes has also decreased. Nevertheless, there is still work to be done. It is necessary to focus, among other things, on cybercrime.
