Aleksandr Lukashenko heard a report by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich on the functioning of the country's energy infrastructure in the current difficult weather conditions. The main task is to ensure reliable supply of electricity and heat to the population, prompt response to possible emergency situations. This issue is under the special control of the Head of State. In two days a power outage was registered in 475 settlements. The President is informed that Minsk and Gomel Oblasts are the most affected, partly Vitebsk. It was noted that in general Belarusian energy companies have implemented a set of measures in recent years to prevent the occurrence of emergency situations and minimize outages due to adverse weather conditions. Work in this direction will continue.
