The President heard a report from the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences

Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, reported on the preparations for the President's meeting with the scientific community. The event was announced in August during a meeting with the working group analyzing the Academy's activities. The scientific community is expected to make a significant contribution to the implementation of national development goals in the next five years. The emphasis is on practice-oriented research, strengthening the link between science and industry, import substitution and increasing export potential, and developing innovative areas in demand in the real sector. The head of the National Academy of Sciences also informed the President about specific projects and developments, the topics of which had previously been the subject of instructions from the President.
