The President heard a closed report from the Minister of Defense
Preparations for the exercise Zapad-2025, the operational situation on the border, and readiness to respond to emerging threats. These are all the topics of the report to the President from the Minister of Defense. It was held in a closed format. Following the report, Viktor Khrenin noted that the Belarusian military monitors the situation on the borders 24/7. Obviously, militarization in the region is growing. At the same time, Belarus demonstrates its openness and peacefulness. However, adequately responding to any threat in the current reality is the number one task. This is required by the Commander-in-Chief. As for the joint Belarusian-Russian exercise Zapad-2025, according to the head of the military department, during the maneuvers they will practice planning the use of nuclear weapons and the Oreshnik missile system. Viktor Khrenin once again emphasized: this is an important element of strategic deterrence. Belarus does not threaten anyone.
