Situation with customs services discussed at meeting with President
The President of Belarus received the Chairman of the State Customs Committee with a report today. Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that customs is a mirror of our economy to a greater extent than other agencies. Yuri Senko reported to the Head of State on the results of the Committee's work. Over the recent 9 months, the national budget received more than 6 billion payments controlled by the State Customs Committee. Modernization of checkpoints will significantly increase the throughput of cars. The President also inquired about the situation on the borders with Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine. Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that Belarus and Russia are now discussing the reorientation of Belarusian cargo from the Baltic direction to the port of Ust-Luga.
