Sergey Aleinik to spearhead Belarus’ Ministry of foreign affairs

The President has taken a series of important personnel decisions. A new minister of foreign affairs has been appointed. It is Sergey Aleinik (before – the first deputy foreign minister). Another appointment pertains to the Military forces of Belarus. The position of the Commander of the Air force and Air defense troops will be occupied by Andrew Lukyanovich (before – deputy Commander of the Air force and Air defense troops, head of aviation). Sergey Aleinik has been in the diplomatic service for thirty years. For a long time, he was a permanent representative of our country at the UN deprtment in Geneva, an ambassador to the Holy See, to Great Britain and Ireland on concurrent.
