Results of talks between A. Lukashenko and V. Putin
At present the future of the Belarusian and Russian peoples is in fact being determined. This was stated by Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko at the press event after his talks in Minsk with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The emphasis was put on the strategic directions, first of all in the economic field. Presidents agreed on all the main parameters in the energy sector. Aleksandr Lukashenko said that Belarus was satisfied with the results of the discussion with Russia on setting up a common gas market and the terms of energy pricing for the next three years. Much attention was traditionally paid to the foreign policy agenda. The two leaders discussed the formation of a common defense space and security, including cooperation within the CSTO, where Belarus will preside from 2023.
