Report by head of Belneftekhim Concern
The President received a report from head of Belneftekhim Concern Andrei Rybakov. The parties discussed how the oil and gas industry is adapting to the sanctions. The key issues on the agenda also included import substitution efforts, modernization of the industry, as well as the development of the Union State program on oil and gas. In general, Belarus managed to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the petrochemical enterprises. “As for the Union State programs, here work is carried out on two tracks,” the head of Belneftekhim told reporters, “both with Russia and with the EAEU.” The negotiations are proceeding within the framework of previously adopted agreements. Thus, it is planned to remove all the disagreements by the end of the year, and develop the final document of the Union State on a single oil and gas market by mid-2023.
