Protecting citizens and sovereignty is paramount, says President

Alexander Lukashenko met with the leadership and operatives of the state security agencies at the Palace of Independence to discuss the work to protect citizens and the sovereignty of the country. The situation around Belarus and within the country was on the agenda. The President drew attention to the fact that in 2021 state security agencies prevented 11 attempts to commit terrorist attacks organized and financed from abroad. As the head of state emphasized, at the moment all necessary measures are being taken to protect the national interests of the country. The President instructed the state security agencies to pay special attention to counteracting cyber attacks.
