Presidents of Belarus, Uzbekistan to hold talks in Minsk
The president of Uzbeksitan arrived in Belarus on an official visit. The two heads of state are set to meet at the Palace of Independence today. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev will talk over a wide range of issues focusing on economic cooperation. Yesterday, the presidents held informal talks. Aleksandr Lukashenko invited his counterpart to visit the state residence Zaslavl. The heads of state exchanged presents. Today, during official talks the parties will talk over prospects for joint projects in various areas. Close attention will be paid to interregional and production cooperation and creation of favorable conditions for mutual trade in goods and services. The leaders of Belarus and Uzbekistan will also discuss the political agenda and the situation in the region and globally.
