President presented the main awards of the year

The President presented awards "For Spiritual Revival", special prizes to cultural and artistic figures and "Belarusian Sports Olympus". The ceremony took place on 8 January at the Palace of the Republic in Minsk. All the winners of the special awards are people who have devoted their lives to selfless service. They revive historical and cultural heritage, educate true patriots, preserve the people's memory. Among the awardees are the staff of the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center of Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, the staff of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. Archpriest Oleg Kuntsevich, rector of the parish of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Minsk, was honoured with a high award for his great personal contribution to spiritual enlightenment and patriotic education. Eight special prizes of the President of Belarus were awarded for outstanding achievements in music, monumental and decorative-applied arts.
