President of Belarus meets with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of Pakistan
The purpose of the visit is to raise cooperation between the countries to a higher level. This includes drawing up a roadmap for cooperation until 2027, supporting each other in international arenas, and, of course, boosting trade. Pakistan is the fifth most populous country in the world, with a fairly developed agriculture and industry. Minsk and Islamabad have agreements on the export of tractors, potash fertilizers, baby food and medicines. But the volumes of these supplies can be many times larger. One of the goals of the parliamentarians' visit to Belarus is to prepare a legal framework for greater involvement of the economies. Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Pakistan were established 30 years ago. And now the dialog is maintained at the highest level. In particular, during the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Alexander Lukashenko held talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who invited our President to visit Pakistan in the near future.
