President of Belarus meets with Georgia Prime Minister

Belarus will continue persistently developing relations with Georgia. This was announced by President Aleksandr Lukashenko today at a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze. In recent years, Minsk and Tbilisi have extended the scope of their cooperation in many areas. Last year, mutual trade exceeded $87 million, slightly under the 2017 figure. At the same time, the trade in services has increased. Primarily, thanks to tourism. The goal of higher trade turnover can be best achieved through industrial cooperation. Already this year the first Belarusian elevators were assembled in Georgia, and since March tractors have been assembled here as well. There are plans to launch a joint pharmaceutical enterprise next year.
