Belarus firmly upholds the principles of building a just world for all countries without exception. This was stated by A. Lukashenko at the SCO Heads of State Council. The event was held in the format of a videoconference. The leaders of the G8 (including Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan), as well as the leaders of the CIS, the EEC, and the UN Secretary General participated. In his speech, the President of Belarus drew attention to the fact that in the modern world, economic accents are gradually giving way to security issues. Belarus is still an observer, but plans to become a full member of the SCO in the near future. The decision to start the procedure was made in September last year during the summit in Uzbekistan. Belarus plans to join the SCO in an accelerated format. The SCO is the largest association of Eurasia. It accounts for over 30% of world GDP, over 16% of world trade, and over 41% of the world population. This month, the chairmanship of the organization passes from India to Kazakhstan.
