President of Belarus A. Lukashenko took part in the VI CICA summit in Kazakhstan
"It’s Asia time now, and it shouldn’t be wasted", President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia hosted by Astana. It gathered 36 states. 9 of them were invited as observers – Belarus was one of them. Participants focused on the most pressing and acute geopolitical issues. Such different countries were united by the main thing – the need to get out of the crisis as soon as possible and return to normal functioning, Alexander Lukashenko noted. Today is the time of a new geopolitical reality, when the collective West can no longer cope with the role of a guarantor of stability. And the whole world is paying for it. The West is creating new hotbeds of tension. Similar destabilization attempts were made in Belarus in 2020. Today, the focus of global politics and economics is shifting to the Asian region. Western sanctions contribute to this. This means that the further expansion of dialogue and cooperation between the countries participating in the Conference is more relevant than ever. The head of state is convinced that the forum can play a significant role in building a peaceful and predictable future, and Belarus is ready for this.
