This year, Belarus expects an unprecedented harvest in the fields. But in order to collect the grain quickly and without losses, a number of problematic issues must be resolved. The President set tasks for farmers at a traditional conference call. The consequences of the recent hurricane made adjustments to the work. The meeting examined in detail the current situation and the measures taken. The head of state instructed to provide assistance in the restoration of settlements, and to summarize all the information by the beginning of August. As for the harvesting campaign, the emphasis is on what has not yet been done and where help is needed. The main thing is the shortcomings. From next week, there will be strict control over the implementation of instructions. The President provided a guideline – to strive to ultimately have 11 million tons of not only cereals, but also rapeseed in the bins. All problematic issues were considered at the meeting. Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that agriculture in the country has never been supported more than it has been this year, and therefore the responsibility will be corresponding.
