President met with deputies and senators of previous and new convocations

Belarus President met with members of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the previous and new convocations. Addressing the MPs, the head of state gave his take on the recent elections and focused on the key tasks the new Parliament will have to address. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the National Assembly has developed the entire system of legislation in the country. Economic development of Belarus will rely on efforts to raise investments, business initiative, foreign trade, and changes in the demographic situation.  The head of state thanked the parliamentarians of the sixth convocation for their fruitful work and presented state awards to the best MPs.
