President meets with Russia’s defense minister

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko held a meeting in Minsk with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, who arrived in the Belarusian capital as a follow-up to recent agreements between the heads of state. Aleksandr Lukashenko stated that Western countries do not implement the agreement on security guarantees, given within the framework of the Budapest Memorandum in exchange for the withdrawal of nuclear weapons. During the meeting they also discussed the issues of combat training and alignment of the joint group of forces.
