President listened to the report of Natalya Kochanova
President A. Lukashenko met with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly N. Kochanova to receive her report. One of the main issues was personnel. The President discussed the work on forming a new government. Aleksandr Lukashenko reminded that he had instructed to consider these issues and make proposals on candidates for the special commission, which includes Natalya Kochanova. The work of the Expert Council was also discussed. It was set up under the Council of the Republic on the instructions of the Head of State in June 2021. Its potential is maximally utilised in the lawmaking process. It is a kind of filter of the most important legislative decisions for the country. In turn, Natalya Kochanova noted that it has been exactly a year since deputies of all levels were elected in the country during the single day of voting. The Council of the Republic is working in a new composition, guided by the current legislation and the approved regulations. As for the work of the Expert Council, more than 140 meetings have been held since 2021.
