President heard out information on Rico Krieger case
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a consultation with people who are well informed about the case of the citizen of Germany who has been sentenced to capital punishment in Belarus. "It is a very unpleasant issue in the life and work of the President, which got a very serious resonance. Rico Krieger is a citizen of Germany. He was born just in 1993. The Belarusian court sentenced him to the exceptional measure of punishment. According to our Constitution and the laws, the final decision is up to the President… I have once said, that such cases related to the death penalty are the most hard things in the President's work. Yet, the decision has to be taken. I just wan to consult with you about it. To hear your opinions. You are the people immediately involved in the investigation of the case", – the Head of State noted.
