President, government discussed readiness for second wave of COVID-19

The readiness of the Belarusian healthcare system for a possible second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic was discussed at a meeting between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Healthcare Minister Vladimir Karanik. WHO believes that the second wave is inevitable. The only question is how heavy it will hit the planet. Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that the path chosen by Belarus during the pandemic is correct. According to Vladimir Karanik, the healthcare system is ready to continue to adequately respond to the coronavirus pandemic. The Healthcare Ministry urges citizens not to forget about precautionary measures in summer, to keep distance and be vigilant.
