President: code of administrative offenses is not about nitpicking

Updated draft code of administrative offenses was discussed at the Independence Palace at a meeting with Belarus President. Alexander Lukashenko focused on the fact that the new legal norms should help, not prevent people from living. On behalf of the head of state, a special commission has been engaged in adjusting the code for the past six months. The commission includes specialists of the presidential administration, parliamentarians, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, lawyers, and scientists. The task was to thoroughly revise administrative legislation. The new code will take into account over 2,000 citizens’ proposals.
