President awards distinguished Belarusians
In the run-up to Independence Day, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has presented state awards to distinguished Belarusians. Among the awardees are representatives of various professions, people who selflessly serve the Motherland and have personal achievement in production, scientific research, and sports. Among the awarded there are many people in uniform who demonstrate exemplary performance of duty and personal courage. Belarus President’s highlighted the work of doctors who are now on the coronavirus frontline. The head of state has warmly congratulated everyone on the upcoming national holiday and high awards. Most of them have been invited to the Palace of Independence for the first time. Before the start of the solemn part, according to tradition, a tour was held for the guests.
