President assesses economic performance of Minsk Region

Aleksandr Lukashenko received a report from the chairman of the Minsk Region Executive Committee Aleksandr Turchin. The meeting mainly focused on two topics, the economic performance of the Minsk Region and the situation with the coronavirus. According to Aleksandr Turchin, preliminary data over 11 months of the year shows the gross regional product at 99.9%. Among the spheres that help the Minsk region to compensate for the decline in industrial production the governor named civil engineering, agriculture and retail trade. As for the situation with COVID-19 in the Minsk region, there is reason to believe that the region has reached the so-called plateau.
