President approves decision on border protection

Belarus President approved a decision on the protection of the state border in 2020. Every year this issue is submitted to the head of state, since it directly affects the national interests of the country and the security of citizens. Challenges and threats are not getting smaller. The flows of illegal migration, the volume of drugs smuggling and other means of criminal activity are growing. The Belarusian state remains a reliable barrier. Maneuver groups have also shown effectiveness. Six groups were created last year. There were fewer border violators in 2019. The President set the task to form two more maneuver groups and one border outpost in 2020.
