President Aleksandr Lukashenko to visit Far Eastern regions of Russia
A set of issues of Belarusian-Russian relations will be discussed by Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin during the working visit of the Belarusian leader to the Russian Federation. It was announced that on Cosmonautics Day, the presidents will get acquainted with the progress of construction work at the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur Region, and negotiations will also take place there. Belarusian specialists are also planning to participate in the construction of the infrastructure of this strategic facility. The heads of state will talk to cosmonauts and spaceport staff, after which they will discuss topical issues on the bilateral agenda, joint measures to counter sanctions pressure from the West, the situation in the region and the world, and events in Ukraine in a one-on-one format. During his working visit, Aleksandr Lukashenko will also visit the Primorski Territory. A meeting with Governor Oleg Kozhemyako is scheduled for April 13 in Vladivostok. The central topic of the talks will be cooperation between Belarus and this Far Eastern region of Russia, the implementation of current projects and new areas of cooperation. In particular, the focus will be on issues of trade in a wide range of positions and the supply of fish products to the Belarusian market. It is planned that the President will visit Russki Island, where he will get acquainted with the implementation of a number of infrastructure, social and cultural projects.
