President Aleksandr Lukashenko paid a working visit to Russia. The president’s plane landed at St. Petersburg’s airport in the morning. The discussions were centered around integration issues both in the format of the Union State and within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS. The leaders summed up the results of the year, discussed the existing problems and prospects for joint work in the coming period, taking into account Belarus’s EAEU presidency in 2020. Traditionally, meetings of the Belarusian leader with foreign colleagues took place at the summit venues.
