Presentation of state awards

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko presented state awards to distinguished people. Over 30 people took part in the solemn ceremony at the Palace of Independence. The head of state drew attention to the fact that the award ceremony takes place on the eve of the main state holiday of Belarus – Independence Day. The honorary title "People's Writer of Belarus" was awarded to Nikolai Cherginets. "Now it is paramount that everyone works to the best of their abilities. This is how our farmers work", said the President. Orders were given to two heads of agricultural enterprises from the Grodno region, athletes and coaches, doctors and teachers.
